In Lost Ark, when you play for the first time, you have to do a 'tutorial' 1-10 levels. After you finish tutorial once, all the classes you create next, you can skip tutorial and start at level 10 straight. On top of that, when you skip tutorial, you get into a zone where you test a class with a lot of skills unlocked. As a Deadeye main (with a 1490 GS alt), I think it's one of the most fun classes in the game, the other being Gunslinger and I see why so many people would rather play Gunslinger. Gunslinger feels way more fluid, their skills look cooler, and the damage uptime is FAR easier on Gunslinger than Deadeye. Also, GS is very straightforward to play. There's definitely an issue with how paladins are generally perceived. No argument that it's an easy class to play, because it's straightforward but that does't necessarily make it boring. Artillerist isn't really that ranged. I play close/mid. Very high stagger and destruction. Need good knowledge of mechanics due to attack delays. But I've played all the classes and I have the most fun playing the Artillerist. It is slow to level up and the class doesn't get fluid till t3. It explains very well why it doesn’t matter. You need to have fun with class you play. Period. Otherwise you won’t get better at playing the class which it ultimately comes down to.
